Jack and Candice have spent the past 15 years giving Salt Spring adventure seekers something to truly smile about. Island Escapades is much more than a business—it's a way of life. Island Escapades provides year-round eco-adventures including kayaking, sailing and hiking, as well as great summer camps for school and youth groups.

In addition to great adventures, Island Escapades is one of Salt Spring's funkiest retail stores. Right on the main drag as you enter Ganges from the south, the store is just fun to visit. Out-door enthusiasts will appreciate the wide range of gear including: tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, head lamps, camping spices, stove fuel and much, much more. Skate boards, shoes, and other miscellaneous skate gear are also sold.

Cool Day at the Market
It is Easter weekend on Salt Spring Island and, despite the cool weather for this time of year, there is a good crowd in town for the Salt Spring Island Saturday Market. Local vendors braved the early spring downpour and gave all visitors a great day at the market. All the regulars were there along with a few new artists, artisans and even a few new food vendors. The cool wind only serve to spread all the great aromas around for everyone to enjoy. See you there next week.
